Snapp de natuur (Snapp nature)
Did you know that May 22nd is the International Biodiversity Day? With 'Snapp de natuur' you can you can examine the biodiversity in your neighborhood all year round. The application challenges you to go out into nature and photograph animals or plants in your environment. The automatic species recognition tells you in a snap which animal or plant you have in front of your lens and how you contribute to nature research.
'Snapp de natuur' wants to engage children and young people in biodiversity research. It uses a smart and user-friendly app that challenges you to go out into nature and photograph animals or plants. This can be done in your own garden, on the street, during a walk in the forest or on holiday by the sea!
The app immediately tells you which species you have photographed and regularly challenges you to go on a quest for a specific species in your area to earn extra points.
