This webinar will highlight local efforts to address urban challenges through five Citizen Science Laboratories established in Athens, Berlin, Flanders, Plovdiv and Sofia. The COMPAIR case studies illustrate how citizen science, through a combination of inclusive stakeholder engagement and policy dialogue, can be a powerful driver of change. This is the first webinar in a series of three, organised by COMPAIR to help cities unlock science.

Workshop Citizen science at your public library

A collaboration between SciStarter, a global citizen science platform, and the European Citizen Science Academy, developed a free course to integrate citizen science into public libraries. Libraries around the world are introducing citizen science to engage their audiences in these meaningful scientific activities that contribute to research.

Workshop Co-design workshop - a global CS repository for hydrology and water management

On 23 May 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm (CEST), the Flemish knowledge centre for citizen science, Scivil, is organising an online co-design workshop as a first step in setting up a global repository of citizen science initiatives for hydrology and water management within the Unesco Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme. Networking event Save the date: Citizen Science Networking event 2024

On September 12, our Citizen Science Network Day will take place again! This year, we are organizing the network day in collaboration with Faro, Histories, and the Africamuseum. Similar to the previous edition, you can expect an inspiring keynote, a series of interesting talks and workshops covering various aspects of citizen science, and a pleasant networking lunch.
