An international event for funders of scientific research exploring how current and future research agendas (can) support citizen science.
The event will be opened by Michael Arentoft (European Commission, Department of Research and Innovation). The workshop will provide experiences of funders within different branches of the research landscape. Participants can share experiences and connect with other funders.
The COESO-project is is a Horizon 2020 project that aims to develop and sustain citizen science research in the social sciences and humanities (SSH).In this workshop, the project brings together an international circle of research funders to discuss how their agendas address the need for more SSH citizen science research.
The COESO Project also provides to funders and to all the citizen science community its policy brief, where shares information about the funding situation and needs regarding Citizen Science (specifically Participatory Research) in the Social Sciences and Humanities disciplines.
