IIASA is looking for an outstanding researcher (Master’s degree or PhD or equivalent) to support the NODES research group with research activities, including coordination and management assistance for two Horizon Europe funded projects (Urban ReLeaf and CROPS) in environmental citizen science.

Join the five-day course in Applied Citizen Science at the Natural History Museum of Denmark and learn the principles and practices of citizen science as a research tool by participating in hands-on citizen science activities, discussing published citizen science studies, and designing and developing and peer-reviewing your own citizen science research project in the field or lab.
 
This transdisciplinary course is open to PhD students and postdocs from all disciplines, and is open as a continuing eduction course.

Through the "Co-Creation" programme, Innoviris supports researchers in social and environmental transition. Receive funding for a co-problematisation project of up to 15 months to better understand the problem and social need, develop a state of knowledge, together with different actors of change or for a co-research project to carry out a co-research project with the actors involved in the change.

Besides taking advantage of funding opportunities earmarked for citizen science, you can implement citizen science as a research method in your project application through 'regular' funding channels such as FWO (Research Foundation - Flanders), VLAIO (Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship) and BELSPO (Belgian Science Policy Office).
