From 6 to 16 October, amai! is taking part in Digital Week. As part of this campaign promoting digital inclusion and digital skills, amai! invites citizens to discover seven AI projects developed in Flanders and contribute to discussions about the future of artificial intelligence.

This online event explores how citizen science can support knowledge valorisation, from co-creation with citizens to achieving societal impact. The webinar brings together insights and practical experiences for professionals interested in participatory research and impact-driven innovation.

During the FTI Festival - Flanders Next, you can discover how technology, innovation and imagination come together in an immersive exhibition that takes you on an inspiring journey into the world of tomorrow. Scivil has helped ensure that citizen science also has a prominent place in the exhibition. Through interactive projects on language, artificial intelligence and astronomy, you can experience how research, innovation and public participation reinforce one another.

On 24 and 25 October, amai! will be at FTI Expeditie Next Festival in Mechelen's Nekkerhal. Amai! will showcase eight AI applications being developed in Flanders and invite visitors to share their views. Join one of the workshops or leave your ideas and feedback via the interactive digital stations at the stand.

RE4GREEN is offering a free 1.5-hour interactive webinar for citizen scientists on integrating ethics, sustainability and environmental justice into citizen science and participatory research. The online sessions take place on 28 October 2026 and 5 November 2026 (13:00-14:30 CET, in English). Participants will explore practical tools related to climate and environmental justice, planetary health, inclusive citizen science and fair collaboration with communities.

CARN Conference 2026: Towards a just and humane society is an international conference taking place on 5–7 November 2026 in Utrecht, the Netherlands, hosted by the University of Humanistic Studies and the University of Applied Sciences. The conference connects citizens, professionals, researchers and policymakers through participatory and action-oriented research, closely aligned with citizen science, focusing on justice, wellbeing and societal transformation.

19th November 2026 the Citizen Science-team from @Rijksuniversiteit Groningen will host an Open Science Meeting on citizen science impact assessment in Utrecht (NL). The meeting brings together Dutch and Belgian citizen science practitioners, researchers, support staff, and other stakeholders to collaboratively improve the usability, findability, and accessibility of citizen science evaluation and impact assessment methods, frameworks, and tools. 

The CS-NL 5th Network Day will take place on 29 January 2027 at Bibliotheek Neude (Utrecht, the Netherlands). This anniversary edition of Citizen Science Netherlands’ annual network event brings together citizen science practitioners, researchers and policymakers for a day of networking, interactive workshops and knowledge exchange.

The Citizen Science 4 Health Conference 2027 will take place from 19 to 21 April 2027 in Odense, Denmark. This international event, organized by Odense University Hospital, the University of Southern Denmark, and the ECSA Working Group on Citizen Science for Health, highlights citizen involvement and diverse participatory research approaches in the health domain. The preparatory committee is currently developing the programme and the call for abstracts.
