On 24 September, we will launch new working groups around several key themes within citizen science. During the ‘Building citizen science’ trajectory, the following themes emerged for which there is currently enough interest to set up a working group.

  • An online platform for knowledge sharing
  • Making the impact of citizen science visible to policymakers
  • Making the impact of citizen science visible to all citizens
  • All schools taking part in citizen science
  • Further integrating citizen science into higher education
  • Governance and structure

Does one of these themes appeal to you, and would you like to join a working group? Please fill in the participation form. Would you like to start a working group around another theme? You can also indicate this in the form.

During the online meeting on 24 September, we will kick off these working groups. We will look at who will join which group, who else we would like to invite, and what each working group aims to achieve.

The working groups are part of the ‘Building citizen science in Flanders’ trajectory. Through this trajectory, Scivil aims to build a network of citizen science champions in Flanders. During the workshops on 21 April and 4 June, we worked together on a future vision and a possible structure for that network. The working groups are an important part of this. You can read more in the reports of both meetings below (in Dutch).
