Amai! is turning five, and we're celebrating with an evening that perfectly shows what amai! stands for: bringing people together around AI, with a sense of wonder, humour, and a generous dose of creativity.
On Thursday 12 February, Technopolis opens its doors for The Night of amai!, a unique event (in Dutch) where improvisational theatre meets artificial intelligence.
Top actors Liesa Naert and Bill Barberis join forces with improv collective ERLNMYR to take on Alex, an AI robot. In one of the acts, a chatbot feeds an actor their lines through a hidden earpiece. Can you tell who is really improvising? Visitors will also enjoy exclusive evening access to the interactive AI exhibition, where they can discover amai!’s AI projects, experiment with new tools themselves, and contribute to ongoing research. It promises to be a festive evening celebrating five years of human-centred AI, while also looking ahead to the future.
Admission is free, but registration is required. The event is currently fully booked, though you can still sign up for the waiting list. All practical information is available via the amai! website.
