Citizen Science Network Flanders officially launched
Citizen science is growing rapidly in Flanders. To further strengthen this movement, Scivil has launched the Citizen Science Network Flanders, bringing together everyone who wants to contribute to a strong, sustainable and impactful citizen science ecosystem in Flanders.
The network emerged from the Building Citizen Science Together in Flanders trajectory, in which participants explored the future of citizen science and the collaborations needed to support it through a series of workshops.
The network deliberately adopts a light and flexible structure, with working groups at its core. Current working groups focus on making impact visible for policymakers, making impact visible for citizens, and citizen science in higher education. New working groups can also be created when members decide to join forces around emerging topics and challenges.
Anyone involved in citizen science and willing to actively contribute to its future development in Flanders is welcome to join the network. Find out more about the network, its working groups and how to get involved on the Citizen Science Network Flanders webpage.
