Would you like to contribute to tomorrow’s AI innovation?
Would you like to help develop AI applications that truly make a difference for citizens? Amai! invites you to reflect on how artificial intelligence can better respond to societal needs.
A few weeks ago, Scivil and the Knowledge Centre Data & Society (KDM), through amai!, launched an open call (article in Dutch only). We were looking for AI solutions and services that are still under development and have a direct impact on citizens. The aim: to ensure these innovations are not only technologically strong, but also socially relevant and widely supported.
This call resulted in the selection of around eight promising AI innovations. For these projects, input from citizens is essential. That is why amai! is organising a large citizen panel this autumn during the FTI experience festival in Mechelen. Together with citizens and researchers, we will explore how these innovations can be further optimised for the society of tomorrow.
Specifically, the selected innovations will be discussed in depth during Expeditie Next, on 24 and 25 October 2026 at the Nekkerhal in Mechelen. Insights from these discussions will help identify barriers and define clear conditions for the successful implementation of AI applications.
Would you like to take part and have your say? Be sure to mark the FTI Expeditie Next weekend (24 and 25 October 2026) in your calendar and subscribe to the amai! newsletter to stay up to date with the latest developments.
