HOGENT aims to excel at education, research, service and practice of the arts. Through the competence of its staff and graduates and the valorisation of its research, University College Ghent wants to stimulate a critical, creative and open society.
HOGENT conducts practice-oriented scientific research to advance a critical, creative and open society. To succeed in this mission, the research has to meet four characteristics:

To increase the societal impact of our practice-oriented scientific research, we also engage in citizen science projects.
