Scivil turns five!
On January 30, 2019, we launched Scivil, a brand new knowledge center for citizen science in Flanders. Now, five years later, we are nothing less than extremely grateful.
Grateful, because we were able to accomplish wonderful things we could not have imagined beforehand. In the slideshow below we highlight a few achievements that we proudly look back on.
We are also grateful, because we were able to do all this together with particularly interesting partners. Like RVO Society, the Department of EWI and imec who gave Scivil the space and trust to build their own story. In doing so, we met partners like the Knowledge Center Data and Society, with whom we created the inspiring amai! project.
Finally, we’re also thankful that we could help strengthen and promote the vibrant citizen science landscape of Flanders. And that is actually what we will keep on doing. ‘Building bridges for better citizen science' is our motto and we look forward to working on this goal together with all of you.
That is why we cordially invite you all to the activities in our festive year.
- Welcome to our networking event on March 11 at imec Leuven: From idea to impact: Successful citizen science in Belgium with speakers from different disciplines and a festive reception.
- Also mark September 12 in your agenda, when our third Citizen Science Networking Day will take place.
