Compair webinar series
Workshop COMPAIR webinar: Digital innovation in citizen science

COMPAIR presents four advanced tools to better understand citizen science data and support decision-making. These include a policy monitoring dashboard, a dynamic exposure visualisation dashboard, an AR app for air pollution and a CO2 calculator. This is the third webinar in a series of three, organised by COMPAIR to help cities unlock science.

Workshop COMPAIR webinar: Inclusive, policy relevant citizen science for smart cities

This webinar will highlight local efforts to address urban challenges through five Citizen Science Laboratories established in Athens, Berlin, Flanders, Plovdiv and Sofia. The COMPAIR case studies illustrate how citizen science, through a combination of inclusive stakeholder engagement and policy dialogue, can be a powerful driver of change. This is the first webinar in a series of three, organised by COMPAIR to help cities unlock science.

Workshop ECS policy event "Redefining Excellence": The CoARA Agreement as an Opportunity for the Citizen Science Community

In this upcoming ECS policy event, we will explore the central role of citizen science in reforming research assessment and redefining scientific excellence. Join our online panel of experts and decision-makers from science and policy as we discuss the CoARA Agreement - a unique opportunity to advance the integration of citizen science into mainstream academic funding and reputation systems. Together we will explore ways in which policymakers can champion this integration and reflect on its wider implications for both the field of citizen science and academia as a whole.

CSOS
Workshop Civil society Organisations and democracy in Europe

In 2022, the French Institute for Civil Society Organisations launched, in partnership with the Maecenata Foundation, the Institute for Social Research, and the Mouvement associatif, a working group on Civil Society Organisations in Europe. This working group brought together 40 researchers and practitioners with mixed expertise from 16 European countries to shed light on CSOs in Europe, on their contribution to society and democracy, and on their needs.

This working group was tasked with detecting European CSOs knowledge needs, drawing a state of the art, and issuing recommendations for a European research agenda on CSOs. They will present the results of this working group during a webinar on the 14th of April. the webinar is open to researchers, to CSOs practitioners and to their stakeholders.
